Andrew Barclay (mathematician)
Andrew Jeffrey Gunion Barclay (April 19, 1849 – September 15, 1943) was a Scottish mathematician who helped found the Edinburgh Mathematical Society and served as its president in 1884. He studied at the University of Edinburgh, earning a degree in mathematics in 1880. Barclay taught mathematics at George Watson's College in Edinburgh and at the High School of Glasgow. He retired in 1914 and moved to London to live with his son. He was married to Jane Pender, and his parents were George and Jane Barclay. He died in London and is buried in Saint Andrews Churchyard, Aldringham.
