Julie Silver
Julie Silver is an American folk singer and songwriter from Newton, Massachusetts. For about 20 years she has performed around the world and released eight albums that have sold more than 80,000 copies without a major label. She started making music at age eight. Her songs are mainly Jewish in theme, and she sings in both Hebrew and English. She writes her own music and also performs traditional Jewish folk songs. Her work appears in Jewish songbooks like R'fuah Sh'leimah: Songs of Jewish Healing. She acted in Then She Found Me, in a scene with Bette Midler. She lives in Los Angeles with her wife, Mary Connelly (Executive Producer of The Ellen DeGeneres Show), and their two daughters, Sarah and Catherine.
