Amedia (fly)
Amedia is a genus of very small flies called wood midges, in the family Cecidomyiidae. It has only one described species, Amedia floridana, which is known only from Florida. The genus was created by entomologist Mathias Jaschhof in 1997, and the type species is Amedia floridana.
