Ambila
Ambila is a rural municipality in Madagascar, in the Manakara district of the Fitovinany region. About 17,000 people lived there in 2001. The area offers only primary schooling. Most residents work in farming (about 40%) and raising livestock (about 37%), with fishing making up around 20% and services about 3%. Rice is the main crop, with lychee and cassava also grown. Ambila lies along the Fianarantsoa-Côte Est railway and the RN 12 road, connecting it to Fianarantsoa and Manakara. It sits about 13 meters above sea level and has a tropical rainforest climate.
