Season overview
The UMass Minutemen represented the University of Massachusetts Amherst during the 2006–07 NCAA men’s basketball season. Led by second-year head coach Travis Ford, they played home games at the William D. Mullins Memorial Center and competed in the Atlantic 10 Conference. They finished with a 24–9 overall record and went 13–3 in conference play, finishing in a two-way tie for first place with Xavier. The team were the Atlantic 10 regular-season co-champions and earned a postseason bid to the National Invitation Tournament (NIT), where they reached the second round.

Schedule at a glance
- Exhibition (Bahamas): The team played five exhibitions in Nassau in August 2006, winning all games by wide margins.
