Ambattur Assembly constituency
Ambattur Assembly Constituency is No. 8 for the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. It is in Chennai district and falls under the Sriperumbudur Lok Sabha constituency.
Created in 2008 after delimitation, it includes part of Ambattur taluk and a portion of the Chennai city corporation. It has about 384,377 voters. The current MLA, elected in 2021, is Joseph Samuel of the DMK (SPA). It is one of Tamil Nadu’s 234 state assembly constituencies.
