Altus Theart
Altus Theart is a South African film, stage, and television actor. He is best known for his roles in the soap operas Kruispad and Getroud met Rugby, and for starring in the Afrikaans teen comedy Bakgat (2008).
On stage, Theart has appeared in major plays such as Dis hoe dit was… Die Steve Hofmeyr Storie and Samoerai, and he acted in student short films Architecture of Fear, Bloedrooi, and Spaarwiel while studying at Tshwane University of Technology.
He is fluent in English and Afrikaans and is a versatile performer who can sing, MC, act, and direct. On 6 January 2012, he married co‑actress Zetske Van Pletzen.
