Hy Vandenberg was a Major League Baseball pitcher who played from 1935 to 1945. He was born on March 17, 1906, in Abilene, Kansas, and died on July 31, 1994, in Bloomington, Minnesota, at age 88. He batted and threw right-handed.

Vandenberg played for the Boston Red Sox (1935), New York Giants (1937–1940), and Chicago Cubs (1944–1945). He helped the Giants win the 1937 National League pennant and the Cubs win the 1945 pennant.

In seven seasons, he compiled a 15–10 win–loss record with a 4.32 ERA and 120 strikeouts. He appeared in 90 games, with 22 starts, 7 complete games, 1 shutout, 43 games finished, and 5 saves.
