Alli Webb
Alli Webb is an American businesswoman and writer who co-founded Drybar, a chain of salons that specialize in blowouts—quick, professional hair styling. She grew up in Boca Raton, Florida, and her parents ran a clothing business, which sparked her interest in fashion. After one year at Florida State University, she moved to New York City, worked for designer Nicole Miller, and later helped expand Miller’s stores in Florida with her brother. When their partnership ended, she studied hairdressing at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and trained with Toni & Guy, working with John Sahag.
In 2010, Webb started Drybar with her brother Michael Landau and her then-husband Cameron Webb. By 2019 there were more than 125 locations. She launched a line of styling tools in 2013 and published The Drybar Guide To Good Hair For All, a New York Times bestseller, in 2016. She began a podcast, Raising the Bar, in 2018 and joined Shark Tank as a guest in 2019. Webb and Landau also created Squeeze, a massage service with an accompanying app.
Her work has earned recognition: Fast Company named her one of the 100 Most Creative People in Business (2013), Fortune listed her in 40 Under 40 (2013), and Marie Claire named her Top Beauty Expert in 2011.
