Alfred Brooke-Smith (1874–1938) was a British businessman who built his career in East Asia. He served as chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Council from 1920 to 1922 and was managing director of Jardine Matheson & Co.

Born on November 3, 1874, in Yokohama, Japan, he began working in business there as a teenager. He joined Jardine Matheson in 1897 in Hong Kong and rose to director in 1918 and senior director in Shanghai from 1919 to 1926, also serving as managing director in 1924–25. He sat on the Shanghai Municipal Council from 1917, became vice-chairman in 1919, and then chairman in 1920. He retired in 1926 and returned to England, where he died on April 6, 1938, at Martley Hall, Suffolk. He married Ann Bigland Brand in December 1918 at Holy Trinity Cathedral, Shanghai.
