Alberto Loret de Mola
Alberto Loret de Mola Saldamando (January 13, 1928 – August 24, 2005) was a Peruvian footballer who played as a midfielder. Born in Lima, he began his professional career with Centro Iqueño in 1947, then moved to Deportivo Municipal in 1948–49. In 1950 he went to Colombia to play for Universidad de Bogotá and Huracán de Medellín. In 1952 he joined Argentina’s Huracán, before returning to Peru with Centro Iqueño. He later played for Universitario, Atlas, and Sporting Cristal.
In 1958 he moved to Europe to play for UD Las Palmas in Spain, becoming the first Peruvian to play in La Liga. He appeared 31 times and scored 6 goals for Las Palmas. He then joined Le Havre AC in France, where he played from 1961 to 1963, making 57 appearances and scoring 14 goals. He finished his career with Porvenir Miraflores in Peru (1963–1965).
Internationally, Loret de Mola earned seven caps for the Peru national team between 1955 and 1956, without scoring. He died in Lima in 2005 at the age of 77.
