Qingyuan Maglev Tourist Line
Qingyuan Maglev Tourist Line is a short maglev railway in Qingyuan, Guangdong Province, China. It runs fully elevated, is about 8.0 km long, and has three stations with space reserved for a fourth. The line connects Maglev Yinzhan station on the Guangzhou–Qingyuan intercity railway with the Qingyuan Chimelong Theme Park, helping visitors travel quickly between the rail network and the theme park. The system uses two tracks and 1,860 mm gauge, and trains travel up to 120 km/h.
Phase one opened on January 25, 2025. In the long term, the line is planned to expand to about 38.5 km. The first maglev train was completed in December 2022, track laying finished by August 10, 2022, and the line underwent no-load and trial tests in 2023–2024 before opening to the public.
Operations run from 09:30 to 19:30, with three trains circulating and intervals of 12–20 minutes. Fares are: full ¥15; Yinzhan to Butterfly Bay ¥5; Butterfly Bay to Chimelong Forest Kingdom ¥10. A day-trip ticket costs ¥35, and students can buy half-price welfare tickets. Children under 1.3 meters ride free when accompanied by an adult.
