Ahmad Arash Hatifi (born March 13, 1986) is an American-born Afghan footballer who plays as a midfielder for Afghan Premier FC in Afghanistan’s top league. He wears number 10 and has represented the Afghanistan national team, earning 34 caps and scoring 4 goals between 2011 and 2017.

Hatifi was born in Oakland, California, and grew up in Alameda, where he captained Alameda High School’s soccer team. He played college soccer at UC Davis from 2004 to 2008, serving as captain in his junior and senior years.

After college, he played for the Bay Area Ambassadors in the National Premier Soccer League. In 2013 he signed with Mumbai FC in India’s I-League and debuted in November 2013 against Bengaluru FC.

Hatifi later played for several clubs in the United States, including Sacramento Republic, IFX Ballistic United, CD Aguiluchos USA, and the Oakland Stompers, before joining Afghan Premier FC in 2024.

Internationally, Hatifi played for Afghanistan from 2011 to 2017, earning 34 caps and scoring 4 goals. He helped Afghanistan win the 2013 SAFF Championship and scored his first international goal against Pakistan in 2013. He also scored in the 2014 AFC Challenge Cup, contributing to Afghanistan’s first-ever win in that competition. In 2014, after a match against Laos, he and several teammates were injured in a car accident, sidelining him briefly.
