Agatha Amata
Agatha Amata (born 4 November 1969 in Lagos, Nigeria) is a Nigerian media entrepreneur, talk show host, TV presenter, speaker and philanthropist.
She is best known for Inside Out with Agatha, Nigeria’s longest‑running TV talk show, which has aired for more than 20 years. The show discusses current social issues, focuses on family, and uses youth as a tool, with a live audience. It began at the University of Lagos Law Faculty and later moved to a studio in Ilupeju, Lagos.
Amata is the managing director of Inside-Out Media Ltd, a Lagos‑based media consultancy and production firm. The company created RAVE TV in 2014, an interactive platform that broadcasts on GOTV, Startimes, MYTV and Abuja DSO Free TV, with Lagos channel 745. The group also runs TREND FM 100.9, a radio station in Asaba, Delta State.
She founded the Inside Out with Agatha Foundation (IOWA) to use media for societal moral development.
As a motivational speaker, she has spoken at international and national events, including the MIT Africa Innovate Conference in Boston, the Women in Journalism Conference, Rotary Club events, and the University of Lagos Youth Empowerment Conference.
She was married to Fred Amata for 19 years, and they have two children; the marriage ended in divorce.
