Hu Zhigang
Hu Zhigang (born February 29, 1944 in Shanghai) is a Chinese football coach and former goalkeeper. He is 1.79 meters tall. Hu started with the Shanghai Youth team in 1959, reached the senior Shanghai team in 1965, and helped Shanghai finish as runners-up at the 1965 National Games of China. He joined the China national team in 1975 and earned 10 international caps until 1976, including playing as goalkeeper at the 1976 AFC Asian Cup in Iran. He retired as a player in 1976.
As a coach, Hu was an assistant for the China national team from 1978 to 1990. He later managed several clubs: Shenzhen F.C. (1994–1995), Shanghai Yuyuan (1996), Jiangsu Gige (1997), Wuhan Hongtao K (1999), Bayi (2000), and Xi'an Anxinyuan (2004). He resigned from Xi'an Anxinyuan after two losses and one draw at the start of the 2004 China League One season.
