Radio Algérienne (ENRS) is Algeria’s state-owned public radio broadcaster. It runs six national stations, one international service, and a large network of regional stations. It broadcasts in Arabic, French and Berber and is a member of the European Broadcasting Union.

History in brief:
- Roots go back to a clandestine station started by the National Liberation Front in 1956.
- After independence in 1962, media were nationalized to form Radiodiffusion-télévision algérienne (RTA).
- In 1986, the Algerian Radio and Television company was split into four enterprises, creating ENRS.
- In 1991, ENRS became an EPIC (public industrial and commercial establishment) with a defined mission.

International service:
- Radio Algérie Internationale broadcasts in Arabic, French, Spanish and English from Issoudun in France.

Regional network includes stations such as Radio Adrar, Radio El Bahia, Radio Biskra, Radio Blida, Radio Soummam, and others.
