Aciphylla takahea
Acyiphylla takahea is a perennial herb native to New Zealand, belonging to the Aciphylla genus. It is endemic to the South Island and grows mainly in subalpine or subarctic areas. Male plants have leaves about 25 cm long, while female plants have longer leaves of about 40 cm. As of 2023, its conservation status is At Risk – Declining. The species is named after the Takahe Valley in the Murchison Range, where the type specimen was collected.
