Acenocoumarol
Acenocoumarol is an anticoagulant medicine that acts as a vitamin K antagonist, similar to warfarin. It is a derivative of coumarin and is available as a generic drug sold under many brand names worldwide. It is taken by mouth and is metabolized in the liver, with an elimination half-life of about 8 to 11 hours. In the UK it is prescription-only.
