State Route 218 (SR 218) is a 19.5-mile north–south highway in southern Ohio, running through Lawrence and Gallia counties. It starts at a T-intersection with SR 217 near Athalia (about 5 miles northwest of Athalia) and ends at a T-intersection with SR 7 about 2 miles south of Gallipolis. The road is a two-lane, rural route maintained by the Ohio Department of Transportation and is not part of the National Highway System.

History:
When SR 218 was created in 1924, it included two pieces: the current path of SR 218 from its intersection with SR 553 northeast to SR 7 south of Gallipolis, and the entire current route of SR 553 from SR 7 in Crown City northwest to that same SR 553–SR 218 intersection. In 1926, the southern end was realigned to run southwest from the SR 553 junction to its present southern terminus at SR 217.
