The ASUN Conference Men's Basketball Coach of the Year goes to the league’s top head coach, as voted by the ASUN head coaches. It began after the 1978–79 season when the conference started as TAAC; a full regular season wasn’t in place until 1979–80. There was a tie in 2019–20. Eleven coaches have won the award more than once. Mercer has the most awards (five) and the most different honorees (three) but left the ASUN in 2014. Among current members, North Florida has the most wins with three, while Lipscomb has two. Names reflect current school branding, not necessarily what they used during a specific season.
