A16 station
A16 Station is a planned MTR stop on the Tuen Ma line in Hong Kong. It will be built as an elevated station along the Tuen Mun River at the site of the Tuen Mun Swimming Pool in Tuen Mun Area 16. The project is part of the Tuen Mun South extension and was gazetted in January 2022. Construction is expected to start in 2023, with opening planned for 2030. A16 will have three levels: entrances at ground level, a concourse above ground, and the platform above the concourse. It will use one island platform serving two tracks, with additional siding tracks on the sides for train movements. The idea for an extra station near the pool has been discussed since 2018-2019, including plans to support housing development under a Rail + Property model. The environmental impact assessment was approved in 2022, and the project is currently under construction, operated by the MTR Corporation.
