He chooses the camp, where he meets Avery and a friend named George. To hide his troubled past, Will pretends to be George’s cousin. At camp, they compete in games like paintball and form friendships. Will starts to fall for Avery, but his past is revealed when a camper learns his story. Will runs away, questioning whether there can be a loving God. Eventually Avery finds him and he returns to the camp for the talent show. Their song helps the green team win, and Will realizes there are people who care about him, sharing a kiss with Avery.
