7th Secretariat of the Chinese Communist Party
The 7th Secretariat of the Chinese Communist Party, officially the Secretariat of the 7th Central Committee, was chosen at the 1st plenary session of the 7th Central Committee in 1945, after the 7th National Congress. It followed the CCP's 6th Politburo Standing Committee and was replaced by the 8th Politburo Standing Committee in 1956. Although called a Secretariat, it acted much like today’s Politburo Standing Committee, not a separate secretariat body.
