Lindy Vopnfjörð, born May 26, 1972 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, is a singer-songwriter who creates folk rock and indie music. He usually goes by Lindy.

He grew up singing with his Icelandic-Canadian family. His grandfather, Axel Vopnfjörð, was a leader in the Icelandic Canadian community, and his parents Len and Karen were folk singers. Lindy and his brother Kris joined their family group, the Hekla Singers, and performed Icelandic songs across Canada. As teenagers they moved to Victoria, British Columbia, and formed the popular folk-rock band Northern Junk. Their song "Russian Winter" got radio play, and the band built a following there. In 1997 he moved to Toronto.

Lindy released several solo albums: Keeping Me Awake (1995), Lindy (1998), The Humorous Years (2001), and Suspension of Disbelief (2004). The 2004 album received mixed reviews. He also joined the indie rock band Major Maker with Todor Kobakov; after releasing All Illusion in 2006, their song "Rollercoaster" became widely heard after a Maynards candy commercial and later appeared on Canadian radio and the Billboard Hot 100.

In 2013 he released Young Waverer, his first solo album credited to his full name. It was crowdfunded and produced by Todor Kobakov, with Major Maker members also playing on the record. The singles "Below the Canopy" (which reached No. 1 on CBC Radio 3’s The R3-30), "On My Way Back Home," and "Dark Matter" charted on CBC Radio.

As of 2014, Lindy was based in Hamilton, Ontario, and continued to tour. He played a headline set at NXNE in Toronto in 2013. He has a daughter, Joni (born 2013), and a son, Gus (born 2015). He was married to Sally.
