LAROM

The LAROM is a Romanian-made, highly mobile rocket launcher mounted on a DAC-25.360 6x6 truck. It was developed with Israel and is used by the Romanian Land Forces, with 54 systems in service operated by the 8th Mixed Artillery Brigade. It is based on the familiar BM-21 Grad concept, using a six-by-six chassis and multiple launch tubes.

Two launch pods per launcher hold either 26 LAR Mk IV 160mm rockets or 40 GRAD 122mm rockets (13 rockets per pod, two pods total).

It can fire 122 mm or 160 mm rockets, giving a strike range of 20–45 km.

GRAD 122 mm rockets:
- 18 kg high-explosive warhead, about 20 km range
- Salvo rate up to 2 rounds per second

LAR-160 160 mm rockets:
- Solid propellant, spin-stabilized fins deploy after launch

Mk IV rockets:
- Can carry different warheads, commonly HE-COFRAM or cluster
- Cluster warheads cover about 31,400 m2

Ranges and rate:
- Mk IV range: 10–45 km
- Salvo rate: up to 1 round every 1.8 seconds
