500 Place d'Armes is an office building in Old Montreal, on Place d'Armes square in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was built in the International style and completed in 1968, after starting in 1965. The tower is about 133 meters (435 feet) tall with 32 floors. It was originally built as the Banque Canadienne Nationale tower and is Montreal’s 17th tallest building. The design was by Montreal architects from the firm David Barott & Boulva. When it was built, some people felt it changed the look of Old Montreal.
