The 309th Maintenance Wing is an inactive United States Air Force unit that was last based at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. It was inactivated on July 12, 2012, and its duties moved to the Ogden Air Logistics Complex.

A brief history:
- 1942–1944: Began as the 309th Bombardment Group at Davis-Monthan Field, Arizona. It trained bomber units as an Operational Training Unit and then as a Replacement Training Unit with B-25s, and was disbanded in 1944 during a reorganization of training units.
- 1949–1951: Reconstituted in the reserve as the 309th Troop Carrier Group, a corollary unit of the 314th Troop Carrier Wing. It was inactivated in 1951 and its personnel were reassigned during the Korean War.
- 1955–1957: Activated at Ardmore Air Force Base, Oklahoma, replacing the 16th Troop Carrier Squadron. It became the Air Force’s first fixed-wing assault airlift group, flying the Chase YC-122 Avitruc and then the Fairchild C-123 Provider. It deployed to Europe, and in 1957 its squadrons were reassigned to the 60th Troop Carrier Wing, with the group inactivated.
- 2005–2012: Reactivated as the 309th Maintenance Wing under Air Force Materiel Command at Hill AFB. It provided depot repair, modification, and maintenance for aircraft and missiles, including the F-22, F-16, A-10, C-130, Peacekeeper, and Minuteman III systems.
- 2012: Inactivated as AFMC reorganized, with all wing functions absorbed by the Ogden Air Logistics Complex and the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group reassigned.
