The 2023 BYU Cougars baseball team played in the West Coast Conference (WCC) during the 2023 NCAA Division I season. They finished with a 24–28 record overall and 13–14 in the WCC. Trent Pratt was the head coach in his first season after taking over from interim duties the year before. Assistant coaches were Brent Haring (11th season) and Abe Alvarez (his first season). Home games were at Larry H. Miller Field.

This was BYU’s last season in the WCC before moving to the Big 12 in 2024. The team was picked to finish third in the 2023 WCC preseason poll and they returned 21 players from 2022. Rivalries included the Deseret First Duel against Utah and the UCCU Crosstown Clash against Utah Valley; Utah Tech also played BYU for a third straight year.

BYU baseball was broadcast on the NuSkin BYU Sports Network, with BYU Radio 107.9 KUMT as the flagship. Some games (February 18 vs. Louisiana Tech and April 1 vs. Gonzaga) were exclusive to the BYU Radio App and BYURadio.org due to schedule conflicts. Announcers Jason Shepherd and Greg Wrubell rotated providing play-by-play.
