Negar Javaherian, born January 12, 1983, in Tehran, Iran, is a well-known Iranian actress. She studied at Azad University and has acted since 2001. She is best known for her roles in Gold and Copper (2010), Here Without Me (2011), A Cube of Sugar (2011), and The Painting Pool (2013). Javaherian has won several awards, including the Crystal Simorgh for Best Actress at the 28th Fajr Film Festival for Gold and Copper, the Best Actress award at the 14th House of Cinema Celebration, and honors from Iran Cinema Celebration and Iran’s Film Critics and Writers Association, with nominations for two Hafez Awards.

She was a candidate for the lead role in I, Taraneh, Am 15 (2001) but appeared in a minor part. She provided the Persian voice for Kristen Stewart in Camp X-Ray (2014). In 2016 she married actor Rambod Javan. Their daughter, Noordoxt Javan, was born in Canada on July 18, 2019, a birth that sparked public discussion in Iran about giving birth abroad. Javaherian and Javan have addressed the situation publicly. She also co-translated Harold Pinter's Betrayal with Tinouche Nazmjou.
