On November 8, 2022, Connecticut voters elected their governor. Incumbent Democrat Ned Lamont won a second term, defeating Republican Bob Stefanowski in a rematch of the 2018 race. Lamont finished with 710,186 votes (55.97%), while Stefanowski had 546,209 votes (43.05%). Turnout was about 57.6%.

Lamont’s running mate was Susan Bysiewicz, and Stefanowski’s running mate was Laura Devlin. Lamont carried six of the state’s eight counties and all five congressional districts.

The election featured third-party involvement. The Independent Party fielded its own governor candidate for the first time. The Griebel-Frank for CT Party, now aligned with the Forward Party, earned a ballot line for 2022 and endorsed Lamont and Bysiewicz, giving them three ballot lines. The Working Families Party endorsed Lamont and Bysiewicz as well, further expanding their ballot access. Lamont’s win marked the first time a Democrat in Connecticut won a gubernatorial race by more than five points since 1986.
