2019–20 West Virginia Mountaineers men's basketball

The West Virginia Mountaineers represented West Virginia University in the 2019–20 NCAA season. They were led by head coach Bob Huggins in his 13th season and played home games at the WVU Coliseum in Morgantown as part of the Big 12 Conference.

Preseason expectations had them finishing fifth in the Big 12, with Oscar Tshiebwe named Preseason Freshman of the Year.

The season began on November 8, 2019. The Mountaineers finished 21–10 overall and 9–9 in Big 12 play. They were ranked No. 24 in both the Coaches and AP polls at times and won the Cancún Challenge Riviera Division.

Context from the previous season: in 2018–19 they went 15–21 overall, 4–14 in the Big 12, reached the Big 12 tournament semifinal, and played in the College Basketball Invitational.
