Yuck is a British indie rock band from London that formed in 2009. It was started by Daniel Blumberg and Max Bloom after they left Cajun Dance Party, with Mariko Doi on bass and Jonny Rogoff on drums. Their debut album, Yuck, came out in the UK on 21 February 2011 through Fat Possum. Their guitar-driven sound earned comparisons to bands like Dinosaur Jr., Pavement, My Bloody Valentine, Sonic Youth, The Smashing Pumpkins, and others.

In 2013 Blumberg left the band, and Bloom became the lead singer for the second album, Glow & Behold, released on 30 September 2013. The band had begun recording the first album in 2010 at Bloom’s parents’ house in London. They also toured with Modest Mouse, Tame Impala, and Unknown Mortal Orchestra. Highlights include the 2012 track “Chew” and the use of “Get Away” on the Forza Horizon soundtrack that year. Ed Hayes joined as a guitarist around the time of the second album, and new material such as “Rebirth” and “Middle Sea” appeared in 2013.

Yuck released The Southern Skies EP in April 2014, followed by the single “Hold Me Closer” in 2015. Their third album, Stranger Things, came out on 26 February 2016, with the single “Hearts in Motion” released in January 2016. On 15 February 2021, the band announced they would stop touring and making new music together.
