Belinda Bencic won the 2015 Rogers Cup women's singles title at the Canadian Open after Simona Halep retired in the final, with a score of 7–6(7–5), 6–7(4–7), 3–0. Bencic defeated six former Grand Slam finalists on her way to her first WTA title. At 18 years and 23 weeks old, she became the tournament’s youngest winner, beating Ana Ivanovic’s 2006 record. Defending champion Agnieszka Radwańska lost in the quarterfinals to Halep. The top eight seeds received a bye into the second round.
