Arthur Wareham
Arthur Wareham (1908–1988) was a British newspaper editor. He studied at Queen’s College, Taunton, and began his journalism career with the Western Morning News. In 1935 he joined the Daily Mail and became editor in 1955. As editor, he stopped trying to copy The Daily Telegraph and instead made the paper more populist. He was replaced in 1959 and left the newspaper in 1960 to start Arthur Wareham Associates Ltd, a public relations firm.
