1996 St. Louis Rams season
The 1996 season was the Rams’ 59th in the NFL and their second in St. Louis. They finished with a 6–10 record, placing 3rd in the NFC West, and did not make the playoffs. Head coach Rich Brooks was fired after the season. The team played its home games in the Trans World Dome for the full year.
A highlight came in Week 11 with a 59–16 win over the Atlanta Falcons; the Rams’ 59 points were the most by any NFL team that year and the most since 1989. Safety Keith Lyle tied for the league lead with 9 interceptions.
