Palaeocybe
Palaeocybe is a fossil fungus in the family Psathyrellaceae. It is monotypic, containing only the species Palaeocybe striata, which was found in Tertiary amber from Saxony, Germany. The holotype includes a tiny cap about 1.6 mm in diameter and part of a stem made of tubes. The cap underside bears decurrent gills (gills that run down the stem). Described by Dörfelt & Striebich in 2000.
