2007 Skyrunning European Championships

The 2007 Skyrunning European Championships was the first edition of the European skyrunning championships, organized by the International Skyrunning Federation. It took place on June 10, 2007, in Poschiavo, Switzerland, and was held together with the International SkyRace Valmalenco-Valposchiavo, a 31-kilometer race from Valmalenco, Italy to Valposchiavo, Switzerland. The race had about 1,850 meters of ascent and 1,800 meters of descent. A total of 488 finishers completed the race, including runners from both sexes and from many countries, including non-European ones. For the European Championships, medals were awarded based on separate rankings for men and women, and only European athletes were eligible for these medals.
