"Strictly Business" is a song by EPMD from their debut album of the same name. Written and produced by Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith, it was released as a single on August 27, 1988, and runs 4:47. The track was issued by Fresh and Sleeping Bag Records. It became EPMD's second charting single, with modest success on the R&B charts. Although it wasn't a huge hit at release, "Strictly Business" is now considered a hip hop classic and appears on many lists of the best hip hop songs. The single followed "You Gots to Chill" (1988) and preceded "I'm Housin" (1989). A music video is available on YouTube.
