2006–07 European Challenge Cup
The 2006–07 European Challenge Cup was the 11th edition of Europe’s second-tier rugby union cup, below the Heineken Cup. It ran from 20 October 2006 to 19 May 2007 and included teams from England, France, Ireland, Italy, Romania and Scotland. The competition used a round-robin group stage followed by knockout rounds. Glen Jackson of Saracens was the top points scorer with 111 points. The top try scorers were Nick Abendanon of Bath and Aled Brew of Newport Gwent Dragons, each with seven tries. Clermont Auvergne won the final, earning their second title, after defeating Bath.
