2006 Esiliiga
The 2006 Esiliiga was the 16th season of Estonia's second-tier football league. FC Kuressaare earned automatic promotion to the Meistriliiga because FC Levadia II, the reserve team of champions FC Levadia, cannot play in the same league as its parent club. JK Tallinna Kalev was also promoted after winning the promotion-relegation playoff. The top scorers were Kaimar Saag of FC Levadia with 37 goals and Andrus Mitt of Nõmme Kalju with 35 goals.
