Cophocetus
Cophocetus is an extinct early baleen whale that lived during the Miocene epoch, about 16 to 11.6 million years ago. Fossils have been found in marine rocks in Oregon, United States. It is a mammal classified in the order Artiodactyla, infraorder Cetacea (whales), in the family Pelocetidae, with the species Cophocetus oregonensis.
