The 1986 McDonald's All-American Boys Game was an all-star basketball game played on Sunday, April 11, 1986, at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan. It was the 9th annual McDonald's All-American Game, showcasing the best high school players graduating in 1986. The East team defeated the West 104–101.

MVP: J. R. Reid of the East, who scored 23 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Other notable scorers included Rumeal Robinson (19 points) and Steve Hood (16 points) for the East. For the West, Derrick Coleman had 19 points and 15 rebounds, Terry Mills scored 20 points with 5 rebounds, and Dwayne Schintzius added 15 points and 5 blocks (Randall also had 15).

Of the 25 players in the game, 13 went on to play at least one NBA game. The East team’s standout performers included Reid, Robinson, and Hood, while the West had strong showings from Coleman and Mills. The game was televised on ESPN, with Jim Thacker and Dick Vitale announcing, and attendance was 15,527.
