1965 Norwegian Second Division
The 1965 2. divisjon was Norway’s second-tier football league, made up of 16 teams in two groups of eight. Lisleby won Group A and IL Hødd won Group B, earning promotion to the 1966 1. divisjon. The bottom teams from each group—Østsiden and Ørn from Group A, and Årstad and Kvik from Group B—were relegated to the third tier. In Group B the promotion race was dramatic: Brann and Rosenborg were challengers, and Hødd secured promotion on the final day with an 8–2 win, while Brann narrowly missed out.
