Arsenal 1962–63 season

Arsenal F.C. played in the English First Division. Denis Hill-Wood was chairman and Billy Wright was manager. They finished 7th in the league and reached the Fifth Round of the FA Cup.

The season was dominated by the Big Freeze—the coldest winter in memory—causing many matches to be postponed or rescheduled. The Pools Panel was created to decide postponed results for the football pools. Arsenal did not play any league games from 15 December to 9 February due to the weather. Under-soil heating was not yet common at major stadiums.

When the thaw arrived, there was a backlog of fixtures to schedule. The league season was extended by four weeks, and the final league fixtures were played one day before the rescheduled FA Cup final.
