The 1950 Army Cadets football team represented the United States Military Academy as an independent. They were ranked No. 5 by the coaches and No. 2 in the AP poll, and finished with an 8–1 record. Led by head coach Earl Blaik in his 10th season, the Cadets scored 267 points and allowed 40. The starting quarterback was Bob Blaik, and the captain was Dan Foldberg. Home games were at Michie Stadium.

Tragedy touched the program off the field as well: Tom Lombardo, Army’s 1944 captain, was killed in Korea. Two weeks before the Army–Navy Game, Johnny Trent, the 1949 captain, was killed in action; Trent and Arnold Galiffa, the 1949 starting quarterback, were sent with the Eighth Army to Korea.

In the Army–Navy Game, Navy defeated Army 14–2 with President Harry S. Truman in attendance. It was Navy’s first win over Army since 1943.
