The 1913 Campeonato Carioca was the eighth edition of Rio de Janeiro’s football championship. It ran from May 3 to December 7, 1913 and was organized by the Metropolitan Athletic Sports League (LMSA).

Ten teams competed. América won the title for the first time. The relegated teams were Americano, Bangu, and Mangueira.

In February, AFRJ and LMSA reconciled, and AFRJ was absorbed by LMSA. Initially, the plan was to have 13 clubs, but in March the decision was made to reduce the league to ten teams. As a result, Cattete, Paulistano, and Germânia were relegated to the Second Level; Germânia protested and withdrew from the league.

The season consisted of 58 matches, with 254 total goals scored (about 4.38 per game). The top scorer was Mimi Sodré of Botafogo with 13 goals. The biggest win was Flamengo defeating Mangueira 11–0 on June 29, 1913, and the biggest away win was São Cristóvão’s 6–0 victory over Americano on August 10, 1913.
