Òdena is a municipality in the Anoia region, in the province of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It sits in the center of the Òdena Basin on a small hill, where the ruins of Òdena Castle with its octagonal tower overlook the town. The C-241 road connects Òdena with Igualada and Manresa, and the N-II highway from Barcelona to Lleida also passes through the area. To the south is the Igualada-Òdena Aerodrome, which hosts the Aerosport airshow each year in spring. In 2009 the Catalan government decided to convert the aerodrome for commercial use, extending the runway from 900 to 1,500 meters and adding hangars for sport and corporate aviation. Ultramagic, the world’s second-largest manufacturer of hot air balloons, has its headquarters at the aerodrome. Òdena covers 52.7 square kilometers and sits about 421 meters above sea level. As of January 2025, about 3,760 people live there. The inhabitants are called Odenencs and odenenques. The municipality includes ten settlements. The mayor in 2019 was Maria Sayavera Seuba.
