Yuri Salko
Yuri Salko (born 20 April 1964) is a Ukrainian visual artist known for expressive and romantic symbolism. He works in painting, graphics and sculpture. He was born in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine. He studied at Grekov Art College in Odesa (graduated 1984) and at Shevchenko Transnistria State University in Tiraspol (graduated 1999). He is a member of several international art organizations, including the International Academy of Modern Art in Rome and the National Unions of Artists of Moldova and Ukraine, and he helped organize the Kam Art international project. Some of his works were used on stamps featuring Transnistria's flora and fauna. He has participated in more than 200 exhibitions and symposia.
