You're the One (The Black Keys song)
You're the One is a single by The Black Keys from their album Magic Potion. It was released on February 26, 2007 as a digital download through V2 Records. The song, recorded in 2006, lasts 3:29 and blends garage rock with blues rock. It was written by Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney and produced by Patrick Carney. The B-sides are "The Way I Feel When I'm With You" and a live version of "Work Me." In the band's singles history, it came after "Your Touch" (2006) and before "Just Got To Be" (2007).
Critical reception was mixed but positive. Mike Diver of Drowned in Sound gave it 7/10, calling it laid-back and perfect for relaxing with a beer on a hot day. Ben Davis of Contactmusic.com described the track as reminiscent of John Lennon, like a more world-weary cousin of "I'm So Tired." Diffuser.fm ranked it fifth on a list of The Black Keys' best songs.
