Yanukism
Yanukisms are a Ukrainian term for various mistakes made by former President Viktor Yanukovych. He was known for language slips and misspellings that clashed with his public image as an educated leader. A famous example is writing “proffesor” on his 2004 registration form. He made 12 other mistakes on the form, including misspelling his wife’s name and his hometown. The mistake became an internet meme and earned him the nickname “Proffesor.” Some people questioned his claimed economics doctorate and wondered if his popular books were ghostwritten. Yanukisms can also be factual errors. For example, he said Mount Athos is in Palestine, called the 2022 Winter Olympics a World Championship, and claimed that Israel is a European country.
